Gianmario Rovaletti proclaimed winner

Gianmario Rovaletti proclaimed winner

Gianmario Rovaletti of the Chiappucci Team has been proclaimed winner after the disqualification of Alexandre Blain.

A surprise ending for the 43rd edition of the International Granfondo Milan – San Remo Cyclosportive with the disqualification of the French cyclist Alexandre Blain of the Raleigh Team, coming in first at the finish in San Remo.

The French athlete has already been in action professionally in 2013, and also won a stage in the Tour of Normandy race in March.

The rules of the event do not in fact prevent the participation of those classified on the list as professionals.

The new overall podium result:
1° Gianmario Rovaletti – Chiappucci Team – ITALY 7hr 44 min
2° Corneille Dams – Buscemi Team – BELGIUM
3° Davide Bellato – Makako Team – ITALY
