total 40 km flat

on the route where the opening team time trial of the Giro d’Italia 2015 was held   

June 13, 2017

9:30 Tour of Flowers , inland stage Maritime Alps 84th Giro d’Italia 2001
total 130 km approx.

The pink course starts on the Via Aurelia, goes through Ospedaletti, Bordighera, Vallecrosia and Camporosso Mare to Nervia where it leads up to the Val Nervia as far as Isolabona, then turns towards Apricale, climbs to Baiardo (900 m above sea level, the first Gran Premio della Montagna), continuing to Passo Ghimberga (898 m asl), Ceriana and Poggio di San Remo, setting off in reverse; it then proceeds up the Argentina valley, taking the path for Taggia, Badalucco and Molini Triora to climb to the Langan crossroads (1093 m asl) and approaches Monte Ceppo (1504 m asl, the second Gran Premio della Montagna), and finally makes a second journey on the Ghimberga to return to San Remo.
